Coke Studio Africa Season Four commences in Nairobi

Kenyan gospel singer Bahati is
among the artistes in Coke Studio
Africa Season Four.
Production for the continental non-
competitive TV music show Coke Studio
Africa Season Four has commenced in
Nairobi.
In the new season, six new countries
have been included.
They are Ivory Coast, Cameroon, DRC,
Ghana, Senegal and Ethiopia, bringing
the number of participating countries to
eleven.

Artistes featuring for the first time
includes Kenyan gospel singer Bahati,
Nigeria's Kiss Daniel and Patoranking,
Eddy Kenzo and Radio and Weasel
(Uganda), Toofan from Togo and
Ethiopia's Haile Roots.
Making a comeback in the show is
Nigeria's 2baba (formerly 2Face Idibia)
and Tanzanian songstress Vanessa
Mdee.
The edition also features music music
producers including Kenya's Madtraxx,
Maphorisa (South Africa), MasterKraft
(Nigeria), Bushingstone(Uganda), Danny
Synthe (France) and Kill Beats from
Ghana.

"For this season we sought producers
and partners who are able to tap into
both their creativity and those of the
artistes to produce a world class show,"
says Coca-Cola Central, East and West
Africa business unit marketing director
Ahmed Rady.
He adds, "This season promises more
excitement as the territories have
expanded and the number of artistes
increased.

"We look forward to an even better and
more exciting season as we all walk
together in this journey of discovering
new artistes and new talents. It’s going
to be full of surprises."
Coke Studio Africa seeks to bring
together and showcase the diversity of
African musical talent.
It also gives upcoming artistes the
opportunity to work with some of the
best local and international music and
production talent, by bringing together
artistes from different genres, eras and
regions to create a modern and
authentic African sound through
musical fusion.
