Mixed Reactions Trail Ben Bruce’s Criticism Of Nigerians

HENRY JEX BLOG

Sequel to the visit of the Facebook CEO to Nigeria, Senator Ben Bruce took to his twitter handle to criticize Nigerians saying that ‘there are many Mark Zuckerberg’s in Nigeria but the problem is they are looking at govt instead of looking inwards to their talents and skills!’ Nigerians then took their turn to reply him.

There are many Mark Zuckerberg’s in Nigeria. The problem is they are looking at govt instead of looking inwards to their talents and skills!

@benmurraybruce Sir, I think you always take Ogogoro before tweeting. If you are not looking at govt what are you doing in the SENATE

— Tosin Olugbenga (@TosinOlugbenga) August 31, 2016

@benmurraybruce in Nigeria, everything is in place for young people to fail. Survival is the priority not trying to be Zuckerberg.

@benmurraybruce For some reason, you seem to think the economy and infrastructure of Nigeria is set up in a way that supports start ups.

— Marc™ (@Tzar_Marc)August 30, 2016

@benmurraybruce Electricity, Access to tools, Cost of living, Support systems (loans) are not really the best here.

@benmurraybruce u are forgetting that Mark went to harvard, where there is free Internet, no such thing as strike.

— M (@OWURIofficial)August 30, 2016

@benmurraybruce there was uninterrupted power supply, water was available, the society was peaceful and the govt prioritised education.

— M (@OWURIofficial)August 30, 2016
