Ekiti State Varsity Gets New VC - on October 24, 2015 6:03 am

A new Vice Chancellor for Ekiti State University,
Ado-Ekiti has been appointed. The new VC, Professor
Samuel Oye Bandele appointment was approved by
State governor, Ayodele Fayose, following the
recommendations of the governing council of the
university.
According to a press statement issued by
the Chief Press Secretary to the
governor, Mr Idowu Adelusi, in Ado-Ekiti
on Thursday, Professor Bandele came
first out of the three candidates who
were interviewed for the job. The
appointment takes effect from December
2, 2015, as the tenure of the outgoing
Vice-Chancellor Professor Oladipo Aina
expires on December 1.
While congratulating the new Vice
Chancellor for coming first in the
interview and being appointed for the
job, Governor Fayose urged him to
improve on the good work of the
outgoing VC and take the university to a
lofty height.
Governor Fayose while commending
Professor Aina, for his immense
contribution toward the growth of the
university physically, socially and
economically, prayed that God should be
with him in his new endeavour after
leaving office.
