According to him, Muslim participants in the two exercises may have to stop fasting or break it or fail to qualify in the camp activities.

He, therefore, called on the acting president to immediately prevail on the Nigerian army and the NYSC to stop the camps and shift the dates till after Ramadan.

Maidoki said failure to do so, might lead to advising Muslim leadership in Nigeria to boycott the camps and any other national activities of this nature that involves Nigeria in Ramadan.

Besides, he also called on the leadership of the National Assembly to halt the camp and call to order the leadership of the Nigerian Army and the NYSC.

The zonal screening for Nigerian army's 76th regular recruitment intake for trades/non trades men and women would take place from May 27 to June 9.

Army spokesman, Sani Usman, a Brigadier-General, in an earlier statement in January had disclosed that the screening initially scheduled to hold from January 22 to 3 February 2017 had been postponed due to the activities of fraudsters demanding money from applicants.
