Lenovo Vibe P1 & P1m
Announced With Hefty
Batteries
If your smartphone keeps dying on you by
the end of the day and you’re sick of having
to look for a charger everytime, you’re in
luck as Lenovo has officially announced the
Vibe P1 and Vibe P1m, Android smartphones
where its key selling point would be its
massive batteries. The Vibe P1 comes with
a 5,000mAh, while the Vibe P1m features a
4,000mAh battery.

Granted the difference of 1,000mAh between
both models is substantial, but they are still
bigger than what’s being offered in the
market today. Both handsets will feature the
ability to rapidly charge your smartphone
albeit in different ways. The P1 calls theirs
Rocket Charge and will provide 2.8 hours of
talk time on a 5 minute charge. The P1m
calls their Quick Charge and can provide
2.45 hours of talk time on a 15 minute
charge.
Other than that, both phones are quite
different in their specs. The P1 will feature a
64-bit Snapdragon 615 processor with 2GB
of RAM and a 5.5-inch Full HD display. The
P1m will be powered by a 64-bit MediaTek
processor with a 5-inch HD display and will
come with 16GB of RAM by default, versus
the 32GB on the P1, but both will support
microSD expansion.
The P1 will also be more “premium” thanks
to its aluminum frame and Gorilla Glass 3
display, and will come with a 13MP rear-
facing camera and a 5MP front-facing
camera. The P1m will come with a
polycarbonate build with an 8MP rear-facing
camera and a 5MP front-facing camera.
In terms of pricing and availability, both
phones won’t be sold in North America, but
in countries that it will be available in, they
will be priced at $279 for the P1 and $159
for the P1m and are expected to be
available in October and September
respectively.
