Google ’s forthcoming Nexus smartphones have
been subject to a lot of leaks in the past few
weeks, and we already have a fair idea on what
to expect from them. While Google or its
hardware partners — Huawei and LG — have yet
to announce anything, a new leaks has revealed
when these smartphones will be launched.
CNET has cited sources familiar with the
company’s plans who claim that Google is
hosting a Nexus-themed event later this month
on September 29 in San Francisco. At this
event, we will finally get to see the new Nexus
smartphones developed by Huawei and LG.
Interestingly; this is in line with the earlier leak ,
which too pegged for a launch on the same day.
Courtesy of numerous leaks, we already have a
fair idea about how these forthcoming
smartphones will look and the kind of
specifications they will boast. LG’s smartphone
is said to be the successor to the Nexus 5,
while Huawei’s smartphone is expected to be
the successor to last year’s Motorola Nexus 6.

As far as the rumored specifications for the LG
Nexus (2015) are concerned, things are not so
straightforward. Earlier reports claimed that the
smartphone will be a mid-ranger with features
like 1080p P-OLED display, Snapdragon 620
processor, 4GB LPDDR4 RAM and 3,180mAh
battery. But a recent benchmark leak claims
that the smartphone will feature a 5.2-inch QHD
display with 565ppi pixel density, 1.8GHz
Snapdragon 808 hexa-core CPU paired with
Adreno 418 GPU and 3GB of RAM.
Huawei’s Nexus smartphone, on the other hand,
is expected to be a more expensive variant with
features like 5.7-inch WQHD AMOLED display,
Snapdragon 820 chipset, a 21-megapixel rear
camera, USB Type-C port , fingerprint
scanner and a battery with wireless charging
capabilities. As we exclusively reported, the
forthcoming smartphone will also be the
world’s first global LTE smartphone .
